Hambone Lake on my way out
In contrast to the waves and wind of Ralph Bice, Hambone was an oasis of calm.
Nice to see a new corner of the park.
The drive in to the access point on the gravel road is a pain.
Nice to avoid the bugs by travelling early.
Probably won't do it again as a soloist as the water is icy cold and a solo capsize would be deadly in the middle of Ralph Bice Lake.
Should have brought a fishing rod. Saw lots of trout everywhere.
New hammock and under quilt were super comfy.
New tarp works well.
New stove set-up works well and saves fuel.
Overall, I had a pleasant and quiet trip and would come back in summer to see Little Trout, Queer, David, and other nearby lakes.
